Who we are

A Custom Name is an online shop that makes ceramic mugs carrying a name, a set of initials or a short line of words picked by the person ordering. Every mug in the catalog starts as a design template and only becomes a finished product once you tell us what text belongs on it.

Where we work from

Our team is based in Vietnam. From there we look after the website, check every personalization request before it goes to print, answer customer emails and follow each parcel until it reaches its destination.

Why this shop exists

A mug is one of the few things people pick up every single day. Putting a name on it turns an ordinary kitchen item into something that clearly belongs to someone. We opened A Custom Name to make that kind of small, personal gift simple to order: choose a design, type the name, and let us handle the rest.

What we aim for

Our goal is plain: spell every name correctly, print it cleanly, pack the mug so it arrives intact, and be easy to reach when something needs fixing. We would rather keep a focused catalog of mugs we can produce well than stretch into products we cannot stand behind.

How the business works

We do not keep shelves of pre-printed mugs. Each order is made to order: after you check out, your text is placed on the design you selected, the proof is reviewed by our team, and the mug is printed and packed. Production normally takes 2–4 business days. Delivery within the United States then takes 5–8 business days. Shipping cost for US addresses: Free. The full details are on our Shipping Policy page.

Who prints the mugs

Printing and packing are carried out by partner mug print studios that specialize in personalized ceramic drinkware. We send each approved design to the studio, and the studio prints it onto a ceramic mug, inspects it and hands the parcel to the carrier. Our team stays responsible for your order from checkout to delivery, so every question goes to us, not to the studio.
